The business of providing credit for motorcycles, automobiles, agricultural equipment, and gold in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) is operated by Mahathuen Leasing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Mahathuen Holding Co., Ltd.
The Company engages in various types of lending businesses, including new vehicle hire-purchase loans, used vehicle (second-hand) hire-purchase loans, and hire-purchase loans secured by vehicle registration documents. Loan collateral includes motorcycle registration books, passenger car registration books (up to seven seats), and commercial vehicle registration books, including pickup trucks, passenger vans, etc. Loans are provided through the Company’s branch network, which covers key provinces across the Lao PDR.
